Undefeated teams battle in Men's Softball

 Monday night games were highlighted by a matchup of undefeated teams in the Burt Smith league.  Bucky's and Black River Ale House both entered the game 3-0. Bucky's jumped out to an early lead in the first with runs scored by Johnny Cawl and Ronnie Carson. Black River Ale House controlled the game after that, scoring six runs and holding Bucky's scoreless for the rest of the game. Greg Puccio led the Ale House with three hits in three appearances for the 6-2 victory over Bucky's to remain undefeated. The Monday night late game watched The Garage/The Mill beat the Walmart Titans, 20-5. The Garage team captain Anthony Morat showed some resolve with a 2 home run, 4-hit night coming off an injury.

 In the Sunday Night Community league, all games on field 1 were cancelled due to poor field conditions from morning rain. All field 2 games were completed while some teams played double-headers. Undefeated Don's Auto handily defeated Sal's Barber Shop 30-4. Tim Destito showed off is offensive skills with a 4-for-4, five run night on five appearances. Destito had a two-run home run in the fifth. JM Auto compiled two wins for the night to improve to 6-0 on the season and take sole possession of first place. JM Auto defeated Strictly Business 25-12 in their early game and Sal's Barber Shop 22-13 later on. Brandon Jones finished 7-for-7 with five runs scored on the night for JM Auto.

 Thursday Night Jim Korpela League games featured continued winning streaks by Black River Ale House/Lifted, Firemen and Palisades over their respective challengers to remain undefeated on the season. Black River Ale House/Lifted beat Oriskany Mfg. Technology 14-9. Paul Straney went 4-for-4 for Black River Ale House/Lifted.

 After six weeks of Men's Softball, playoff pictures are starting to fall together. Last year's championship finalists Palisades and Performance Wire are both undefeated thus far.
